Al Murray's Barrel of Laughs
November 9, 2011
One of TV's favourite comedians, Al Murray (The Pub Landlord) peformed to a sell-out Shetland audience in Lerwick's Clickimin Centre in March 2011 as part of his nationwide 'Barrel of Laughs' tour.
It was Murray's first visit to the islands, but he never-the-less found plenty to create laughs around and, as usual, his show revolved around engaging with his occasionally hapless audience - many hilariously finding out that heckling the man was not an advisable thing to do.
General feedback from the audience following the show was incredibly positive with many commenting that it had been the funniest show of its kind every seen in the island.
Promoter Davie Gardner said "Al seemed to enjoy Shetland as much as the Shetland audience loved him. Hopefully we will see him back up this way again in the not too distant future".
