Harpist Catriona McKay - of Fiddlers Bid and duo Chris Stout and Catriona McKay fame - has been nominated for one of the country's most prestegious awards - the Glenfiddich Awards 2010..jpg&w=250&q=90&fltr[]=usm|40|1|3)
The awards are seen as one of the most important of their kind and recognised individuals and groups in a number of special categories including music, food, sport, literature, art, business, environment and screen.
Nominated alongside her in the music section are Paulo Nutini, Biffy Clyro and Isobel Campbell, whlie the other categories also read like a who's who of Scottish success.

The winners of the various awards are decided by public vote (voting for this year has now closed) and they will be announced at the awards ceremony held in the Prestonfield Hotel, Edinburgh on the 2nd December.

Shetland Schools Music Festival 2012
The Shetland Schools Music Festival has been hailed a great success by everyone involved. Over 1000 young Shetland musicians, singers etc etc took part during the four-day annual event.
