Dean Owens Tour Success
April 11, 2009
Dean Owens has recently completed a UK tour which took in dates from Inverness in the Scottish Highlands to Brighton in the south of England - and indeed all points in-between.
On the tour he was accompanied by Scottish based singer / songwriter Kim Edgar who acted as tour support and also joined Dean on stage to perform piano and backing vocal duties.
The tour culminated in an appearance at the Northern Roots Festival in Inverness, where Dean's set was very warmly received.

Dean will perform further live shows this year - some of which have yet to be formally announced - but these will include two appearances with the Chris Stout Theory in May and also two dates at the St Brides acoustic music venue during the Edinburgh Festival in August.
The gigs will include further solo appearances and also the revival of his much acclaimed and hugely popular band The Felsons for a few special gigs yet to be announced.

Meanwhile Dean's album 'Whisky Hearts' (Navigator Records) is attracting a great deal of interest across Europe - most notably in Holland, Germany and Scandinavia. In April it reached No.12 on the Euro Americana chart, just behind names such as Buddy & Julie Miller and JJ Cale, but ahead of the likes of Ben Kweller, Justin Earle and Bonnie Price Billy - no mean feat.
