Earle To Play Shetland
September 1, 2009
Legendary American singer / songwriter Steve Earle is set to make a return appearance to the Shetland stage when he plays the final date of a massive 50 date European tour in Lerwick's Clickimin Centre on the 11th December 2009.
Earle, famous for tracks such as Copperhead Road and Devil's Right Hand, and more recently sporting a Grammy Award winning album in 'Washington Square Serenade', last played Shetland to a sell-out audience in 2003 and has subsequently made no secret of his wish to come back again.
Davie Gardner of Atlantic Edge Music Services who are promoting the Shetland concert said "It's great to have an internationally acclaimed artist like Steve coming back here for what promises to be another great gig - especially as it's the last date of such a major tour".
Tickets for the gig, priced £20, are available from the Shetland Box Office on (01595) 745555 or direct from the Islesburgh Community Centre in Lerwick.
