Ed Byrne - Lerwick Show
June 2, 2011
Internationally acclaimed comedian Ed Byrne - perhaps best known for his TV appearances in shows such as 'Have I Got News For You', 'Mock the Week' and 'Live at the Apollo' - is set to bring his 'Crowd Pleaser' national tour to Shetland in the autumn for a show promoted by 'Beyond Promotions' Inverness in association with Shetland based company Atlantic Edge Music Services.

He will be appearing in the Clickimin Centre, Lerwick on Monday 24th October - doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 7.45.
Exploring subjects and situations that Ed himself finds frustratingly maddening (some of them inevitably controversial), 'Crowd Pleaser' is a hilarious insight into Ed's own life and his view on life in general. Continuing his quest to "turn into a grumpy old man", whether he's talking about religion, fatherhood, politics or simply his cat, Ed is always guaranteed to delivery laughs in abundance.
Davie Gardner of Atlantic Edge Music Services said "I'm delighted that someone of Ed's profile has agreed to take his UK show to Shetland, and that 'Beyond' have once again encouraged and assisted an artist of this quality to take their tour to smaller locations such as ours. I'm sure Ed's show will prove hugely popular and deliver plenty of laughs to brighten up our evening".
Tickets for the show - which will be for over 16's only (unless accompanied by an adult) - are now on sale from High Level Music, Commercial Street, Lerwick / www.ticketmaster.co.uk and www.beyondit.net
"The jokes come so fast that hecklers don't have a chance to get a word in edgeways" - The Times
"As comedians go Ed Byrne is a class apart" - London Evening Standard.
