Fiddlers Bid Make Connections

Fiddlers Bid are set to headline the opening weekend of the 2011 Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow in January.
The band play Glasgow's prestigious Royal Concert Hall on Saturday the 15th January in a concert that will kick off their 20th Anniversary celebrations. The concert will feature a range of special guests including 'Humbert Humbert' from Japan, who the band collaborated with during their 2009 Japanese tour. Other special guests will be announced shortly.
Support for the show also comes from the Quebe Sisters.

2011 marks the band's 20th anniversary - even though they are all still in their mid-thirties. There will be a number of special events and other things happening to celebrate the occasion including a live CD / DVD (recorded during the 2010 Shetland Folk Festival in the Clickimin Centre) and a major 20th anniversary tour next October. More special events will be announced shortly.
The band will also be returning to Shetland in July to perform at the Tall Ships events in Unst and Lerwick.

Shetland Schools Music Festival 2012
The Shetland Schools Music Festival has been hailed a great success by everyone involved. Over 1000 young Shetland musicians, singers etc etc took part during the four-day annual event.
